Residential Exterior Alteration/Addition
A residential building permit is required for all residential exterior alterations or additions that add to or subtract from the gross building volume or existing roof, regardless whether alterations are to load carrying building elements or not.

Required Inspections
- Erosion Control, Dumpster, and Portable Toilet Inspection (as applicable, depending on project scope) – All of these items must be in place prior to the issuance of the building permit.
- Various depending on project scope, but typically:
- Concrete prepour inspections
- Underground Plumbing (prior to covering with flooring or concrete, when applicable)
- Rough Framing, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing
- Insulation
- Final Framing, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing
