Pools
A permit is required for above-ground and in-ground swimming pools. If no fence exists a fence permit will also be required. If the existing fence around the yard does not meet the minimum requirements for a pool barrier, a separate fence permit application is also required.
Application Requirements
The following is needed in order to apply for a permit:
- Completed Permit Application
- EZ Permit Application (if using 2 or fewer contractors/sub-contractors)
- Building Permit Application (if using more than 2 contractors/sub-contractors)
- Completed Pool Permit Guide
- Signed copy of the Homeowners Declaration Rider if you are part of a Homeowner Association (HOA).
- One (1) copy of the Plat Survey of the Property (as described in Pool Permit Guide).
- One (1) copy of the Proposed grading Survey (for in-ground pool or grade changes).
- One (1) copy of the Construction Drawings (as described in Pool Permit Guide).
- One (1) copy of the Contract between the homeowner and the contractor (if one is being used).
- A completed and signed copy of the Homeowner Affidavit if homeowner is doing any of the work themself.
Fees
- Permit Fees: due upon permit issuance
- Above ground pool - $90
- (Add for gas heater - $70)
- In-ground pool:
- Plan Review fee - $1.50 per $1,000 of Cost of Construction
- Inspections Fee - $5.00 per $1,000 of Cost of Construction
- (Add for engineering review - $75)
- (Add for Landscaping $70)
