Tents
A permit is required for the installation of tents. Tents of 400 square feet or smaller do not require any inspections or permit fees. Tents of 401 square feet or larger require inspections and permit fees. Note that temporary uses such as seasonal outdoor sales may require a temporary use zoning permit. Please contact out planning and zoning staff. Special events which utilize village resources or involve village property, or events needing a temporary liquor llicense may require a special event permit and additional approvals. Application Requirements
The following is needed in order to apply for a permit:
- Completed Temporary Tent Permit and Code Compliance Checklist.

Fees: due upon permit issuance
- Permit Fee of $90 due for 401 square feet or larger tents
- No Fee for tents 400 square feet or less in size
Permit Requirements
- All tents shall be constructed of fire retardant material and erected securely.
- No tent shall be allowed to remain for a period of more than two (2) days longer than the period during which the use with which it is associated is allowed to remain or, in the absence of any such period, ten (10) days.
- Unless waived by the zoning official, every tent shall comply with the bulk, yard, and space requirements applicable to district in which it is located.

Required Inspections
- An Electrical inspection is required for tents of 401 square feet or larger.
- A Final Inspection is required for tents of 401 square feet or larger.
