Overview
This board is appointed to staggered terms by the Village President with advice and consent of the Village Board for terms of four years in duration, except the chairman, which shall be six years in duration.

The Commission's responsibilities include:
- Hearing appeals from any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the Zoning Official under this Title;
- Hearing and passing upon application for variations from the terms of this Title in the manner prescribed by, and subject to, the standards established herein; and
- Reviewing and reporting on any matters referred to it by the Village Board.
